Quick Recipe - Pancakes with Kodiak Cakes

This photo means a lot to me because not only was it my first food styling photo that I did when I first started legit food photography, it was also part of my first giveaway.  I would see giveaways on Instagram with people hosted by the company and would wonder how it was being set up.  Does the person reach out to the company or does the company suggest the giveaway?

I reached out to Kodiak Cakes and they suggested that I do a giveaway on Instagram.  I was very excited but also unsure as I wouldn't know if people would participate in the giveaway.  Thankfully, people did so it was a success.  

For this photo, I made some pancakes using a box mix from Kodiak Cakes.  Kodiak Cakes are filled with protein and take no time to make.  Follow the directions on the box and cook until golden brown.  Pancakes are a blank canvas for whatever you like to put on them.  I usually eat pancakes with a little syrup.  For this photo, I used syrup and an easy blueberry spread.  For the blueberry spread, cook the berries on the stovetop with water and sugar until it reaches desired consistency.  Enjoy!
