Hoagies. Sandwiches. Whatever you like to call them, they're delicious and a classic dish you can't go wrong with. There's endless possibilities and opportunities with sandwiches, which is what I love about them because I get bored with eating the same food. I never had a meatball sandwich and I've always wanted to make meatballs. I thought they were too hard/time consuming but that wasn't the case. It also helps if you have jarred tomato sauce like I do here from Jar Goods. For lunch today, I decided to make a meatball sandwich (or Italian Hoagie for a fancier term) with a spicy twist. Ingredients for this include sandwich rolls, tomato sauce (preferably from Jar Goods), bread crumbs, milk, ground beef, salt, pepper, parsley, egg (not pictured), and cheese (not pictured). Combine as much parsley as you like, 1 egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, 1 lb of ground beef, and 1/2 cup of bread crumbs in a bowl. Mix well and form into 12 balls. Place them on a greased baking sheet and cook in oven for 22 minutes or until internal temperature is 160. To assemble the sandwich, use a slotted spoon to carefully drop the meatballs in the sauce. Place meatballs in the bread that has cheese (I used Provolone). Place in 350 oven for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasted to your liking. Classic Spicy from Jar Goods is a classic tomato sauce with a hint of spice, which I really enjoy. Too much spicy makes me not enjoy the meal no matter how good the food is. Classic Spicy is not overly spicy so those who can't take spice will not think this is too powerful or overwhelming. I love how Jar Goods' tomato sauce has the best ingredients that are fresh and clean. The ingredient list is amazing since you know and recognize the ingredients whereas other options are filled with a bunch of unknowns. Jar Goods allows busy people a venue to make cooking simpler and less-time consuming, which seems to be a common problem among those who don't have time for cooking.
